Pakistan Chapter of Sufi Order International organized the first International Sufi Conference on “Universalism and the Message of the Holly Prophet” (pbuh) on April 15, 2006 in Lahore, Pakistan. The main goal of this conference was to celebrate the birth anniversary of our Holy Prophet (pbuh) and spread his universal message of love, peace and tolerance.

Speakers of the conference were
Reza Shah Kazemi (England),
Cemalnur Sargut (Turkey),
Imam Salim Chishti (USA),
Muzaffar Ali (India),
Sheikh Harun Rashid Faye (Senegal),
Maryam Kabeer Faye (USA),
Yoginder Sikand (India)

On her presentation, Cemalnur Sargut focused on our Prophet’s manifesting -through his modesty and servanthood- all his maqams including his wilayat, nubuwwat, and prophethood which embraces all religions and the created due to his being Rabbul Alamin.

In order to create intimacy among people and for them to see the absolute servanthood in the Prophet, Janab’i Haqq in Surah Fussilat Verse 6 commands Muhammed (pbuh) to say “I am a man”. However, at the end of the verse in order to state that Muhammed is not like us and to exalt him Allah commands, “but say that it is revealed to me by inspiration”. Understanding these meanings is to know the fact that The Prophet has come as rahmet (compassion, mercy) to all universes. For ages stones having been calling five times a day that “Allah is One and that Muhammed is His Prophet” is the most beautiful expression of these meanings.
